Set up in five steps

After you install, the app opens on a setup guide. Each step has a button that takes you to the right place, and the guide ticks itself off as you go.

    Bring your existing reviews

    Moving from Judge.me, Yotpo, Okendo, Loox or Stamped? Open Import reviews and bring your reviews, photos and replies so your product pages keep their stars. Skip this on a new store.

    Turn on Evlop Reviews in your theme

    The button opens your theme editor with the Evlop Reviews app embed ready to switch on. It adds review rich snippets for Google and loads the widget styles. Save the theme.

    Add reviews to your product page

    The next button adds the Product reviews block to your product template, in its own section below the product information. Save the theme.

    Show star ratings under the product title

    Adds the Star rating block next to the title. Most themes also show stars on collection pages automatically.

    Start collecting reviews by email

    Turn on review requests, choose how many days after fulfillment to send them, preview the email and send yourself a test.

Common questions

The widget isn’t showing on my product page

Check that the Evlop Reviews app embed is on (Online Store, Themes, Customize, App embeds) and that the Product reviews block is in your product template. Then save the theme and reload the product page.

Review request emails aren’t going out

Requests go out a set number of days after an order is fulfilled, so new orders take a few days. Check that review requests are turned on in Settings, Emails, and send yourself a test from the email editor.

How do I approve reviews before they go live?

In Settings, General, choose whether reviews publish automatically, publish automatically at four stars and up, or wait for your approval. Pending reviews appear in the To moderate view of the Reviews page.

Can I change how the widgets look?

Yes. Open Settings, Widgets to pick a design preset and adjust layout, colors, star shape and corners with a live preview. Changes apply to every widget on your store.

What happens to my data if I uninstall?

Your store’s review data is deleted after Shopify’s shop redact request, which Shopify sends 48 hours after you uninstall. Export your reviews as CSV first if you want a copy.
