Reviews are the first thing many shoppers scroll to, so the app you pick shapes how your product pages look and how much you pay as you grow. This guide compares seven Shopify review apps on the things that decide the choice: what the free plan really includes, photo and video reviews, Google stars, AI features, and the price at your order volume.

What to look for in a Shopify review app
Free plan limits. Many free plans cap the number of orders per month, not the number of reviews. A 50-order cap is fine for a new store and a problem a few months later. Check whether the limit is on reviews, review requests or orders.
Review requests. Most reviews come from a well-timed email. Look for requests timed to fulfillment or delivery, reminders, and stars customers can tap inside the email.
Photo and video reviews. Customer photos persuade more than text. Check which plan unlocks video, and whether you can reward customers who add media.
How the widgets look. Reviews sit on your best pages. You want widgets that pick up your theme’s fonts and colors, and a preview before anything goes live.
Google stars. Rich snippets can show your rating in search results, and a product ratings feed can show stars in Google Shopping. Check which plan includes each.
AI features. Summaries of what customers say, topic filters and answers to shopper questions are the newest feature set. Prices for them vary more than anything else in this category.
Switching. If you already have reviews, check that the new app imports them with photos and keeps your Google stars.

Judge.me is the default choice for a lot of Shopify stores, and the numbers explain why: 5.0 from 48,565 reviews on the App Store and a free plan with unlimited reviews.
Free plan: Unlimited product and store reviews, unlimited photo and video reviews, review widget and star badge, carousels, Google reviews sync and rich snippets, trust badges, Shop app, Etsy and Amazon sync, review importer.
Paid: Awesome $15/month (15-day trial), which adds AI replies, summary and translations (Awesome), Q&A, Google Shopping, coupons and referrals, and more widgets and integrations.
Best for: stores that want a proven, inexpensive app with a large merchant base. If you want AI, it starts at $15 a month.
Loox
Loox is built around photo and video reviews, with polished visual widgets and tools to turn reviews into social posts.
Free plan: Free up to 500 orders, including Review request emails and reminders, discounts for photo reviews, 17+ widgets, rich snippets, social posts from reviews, Shop app syndication.
Paid: Convert $49.99/month (300 orders included, +$50 per extra 300 orders); Unlimited $299.99/month. Convert adds AI smart sorting, review highlights, summaries, review stories, translations and replies (Convert), video reviews, and syndication to Google, Meta and TikTok.
Best for: fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands where customer photos carry the sale, and that are ready to pay as order volume grows. Note that video reviews are on Convert, not the free plan.
Yotpo
Yotpo sells reviews alongside loyalty and other marketing products, and aims at brands that want one vendor for several of them.
Free plan: Free up to 50 orders/month, with Automatic review requests, email templates, sentiment and profanity check, on-site review display.
Paid: Starter $15/month and Pro $119/month (both change with order volume). Starter adds photo and video collection, rich snippets and Google Shopping ads. Pro adds Google Seller Rating, custom questions, AI reviews summary and smart sorting (Pro).
Best for: growing brands that also want Yotpo Loyalty, and can budget for Pro if they want AI.
Okendo
Okendo combines reviews with loyalty, surveys, quizzes and referrals in one platform.
Free plan: Free up to 50 orders/month: Automated review request emails, smart review form, review rewards, review displays, Google SEO snippets, review moderation.
Paid: Essential $19/month (200 orders), Growth $119/month (1,500 orders), Power $299/month (3,500 orders), each with a 14-day trial. AI review summaries and AI review keywords (Growth) start on Growth, along with the Q&A widget.
Best for: established brands that want reviews, loyalty and surveys in one place and value hands-on support.
Stamped
Stamped also pairs reviews with loyalty. Plans: Reviews $23/month (200 orders), Reviews 1k $99/month, Reviews 5k $199/month; Loyalty plans separate. Best for: stores that want reviews and a points program from one vendor and have outgrown a free plan.

Best for: new stores that want their first reviews quickly and don’t need AI or Google Shopping yet.
